Belief Equals Reality
What we believe is our reality. What others believe is their reality.
Never unwittingly allow other people to impose their beliefs on you.
Often people will try and impose their beliefs on us because they feel that you are not in line with what they see as real. This can be good or bad depending on the belief.
Maybe your reality is out of line with common reality. Maybe your reality is one of abundance and happiness where common reality is of toil and struggle. Which do you prefer?
As an example I know someone who sees growing old as painful and depressing and so they constantly try and impose that belief on me.
I reject that will not even listen to that person on this subject..
Because, I see growing old as a blessing, it is…
◾A golden era where we have the benefits of experience to guide us.
◾Where we have known losses, disappointments and failures and we know how to deal with them and
◾Where we expect obstacles at every turn and meet them with enthusiasm as new challenges.
◾Where we have experienced most material pleasures and found them wanting and so no longer do they have a pull on us dragging us from true happiness for momentary pleasure.
◾Where we now have the ability and experience to use our time to do what we can to make a mark on the world and leave it a better place for having visited.
Because of this I will NOT allow the other persons belief any space or time. My belief is bright and optimistic and useful.
Growing old is a blessing and I will die young at an old age – and that is my reality!
